Abu Kamil Al-Hâsib Al-Misrî was a mathematician who perfected al-Khwarizmi's work on algebra and whose mathematics included a number of subjects such as determination and construction of both roots of quadratic equations, multiplication and division of algebraic quantities, addition and subtraction of radicals, and the study of the pentagon and decagon (algebraic treatment).
