This groundbreaking interactive exhibition brings to life a golden age of innovation and features over one thousand scientific wonders created by Muslim inventors in the years 600 to 1600. From the first flying machine to the first university, our numbers 1-9, astronomy, coffee, soap, clocks and the camera, few of us realise how much of what we take for granted today originated in the Muslim world. This exhibition is based on the book 1001 Inventions: Discover the Muslim Heritage in our World.

We expect this exhibition to be extremely popular with schools and community groups. To ensure you enjoy your visit please book in advance by contacting the Museum Education team on tel: 020 8253 1023 or email: museumeducation@croydon.gov.uk
