FSTC Conference: 'Science and Islam: Past, Present and Future' Part of the BA Festival of Science University of Salford 8-12 September, 2003 'Science and Islam: Past, Present and Future' was the theme of the one day conference that was staged by the MuslimHeritage.com team at the annual Festival of Science Week organised by the British Association for the Advancement of Science. Some of the top minds from the worlds of science, history and philosophy presented and debated the role of science in Islam and how and why Muslim civilisation was able to make great advances in human civilisation through faith inspired scientific activity. FSTC Research Associate Kaleem Hussain delivered on 17th April 2008 a lecture on ‘Muslim Heritage: A Scholarly Perspective' at the Markfield Institute of Higher Education in Leicester. Aiming to explore the education of children in that area, focusing particularly on Muslim children, the conference presented the projects of FSTC and some milestones in contemporary scholarship in Muslim Heritage.
