
1001 Inventions Exhibition launches at Museum of Croydon Exhibition Gallery

This groundbreaking interactive exhibition brings to life a golden age of innovation and features over one thousand scientific wonders created by Muslim inventors in the years 600 to 1600. From the first flying machine to the first university, our numbers 1-9, astronomy, coffee, soap, clocks and the camera, few of us realise how much of what we take for granted today originated in the Muslim world. This exhibition is based on the book 1001 Inventions: Discover the Muslim Heritage in our World.
